Chapter 1
In chapter 1 I learned a few unique things about the chrome browser. The unique names, button shortcuts and a few random things. All these features will come in handy later in my life as I get more into computers.
The names that chrome has for some of their shortcuts and features are a little wacky. I never knew the address bar is called the omnibox. I always just called it “the address bar” which is super common in all the people I know. The extension tab I would always call Add Ons. It makes sense to call it the extension as well since I am just extending the capabilities of my browser.
I never knew you could use ctrl+s on a webpage to save it. I never save a webpage, and I usually just google it if I need it again. If I need information off a sight, I use the snipping tool to do that, so I cool to have a new way to do it. Using shift + space send the page to the top of the screen. I always just scroll up the page if I accidentally hit space. There is a magnifying glass that goes into the search bar if you zoom in that lets you reset easily as well, I never zoom in, but now if I do I know an easy way to reset it.
I never knew a browser ordered the history in unique way as in the day, grouped, and most visited. I always just thought it was a chronological order. The HTML language as in making something bold was cool to read using the <b> and </b> to allow bold and the same with italicized. It is good to know this before I start programming in HTML. The URL meaning Uniformed Resource Locator was an unknown fact to me. This is another thing I just called a generic name being URL.
All in all, this chapter allowed me to learn a few unique things about browsers and the way they read and allow unique key logs.
